Bianca White & Sandra Krasa

Filmmakers discussing "Ocoee" production on Univ. of Florida campus.
Bianca and Sandra met in 2000 while attending graduate school at the University of Florida's Documentary Institute. The two became fast friends and great film collaborators as they share a passion for civil rights, social action, and uncovering the more subtle truths of the human condition. The team attributes their success and good press for "Ocoee" with the fact that their filmmaking friendship allows them to discuss racial issues and societal intricacies in an honest and candid manner. One of the best compliments they receive as documentarians is that this film is "balanced." It neither glorifies, nor villifies, it simply exposes the truth about an event in Florida history that set the path for the state's voting problems and racial woes for decades to come.
